Do you offer a free trial?
We don't offer a generic trial because every setup is tailored to your business. Instead, we'll give you a personalised walkthrough so you can see PaperTrail working with your actual workflow. Request a demo to get started.
How long does setup take?
Most businesses are up and running within a week. We handle the configuration, import your existing data, and make sure everything matches how you actually work - not a generic template.
Can you import our existing data?
Yes. We can import data from spreadsheets, other project management tools, or your existing systems. We'll work with you to map everything across cleanly so nothing gets lost in the transition.
Pricing & Billing
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes, anytime. There's no minimum contract, and we'll even help migrate your data if you ever decide to leave. We'd rather earn your business every month than lock you in.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes - we offer a 15% discount for verified non-profits. We also offer volume discounts for larger teams. Get in touch and we'll find the right plan for you.
How does billing work?
We bill monthly per user. You only pay for active users - if someone leaves, just remove them and your bill adjusts automatically. No annual commitments required.
Are there any hidden fees?
None at all. The price you see includes setup, onboarding, support, and all updates. There are no extra charges for storage, API access, or new features.

Can I customise fields and forms?

How is my data protected?
Your data is protected by 256-bit SSL encryption - the same standard used by banks. We also offer two-factor authentication and role-based access control as standard on all plans. Learn more.
Where is my data stored?
All data is stored securely in UK and Ireland data centres. We run daily off-site backups with automatic integrity checks. Your data never leaves UK & Irish infrastructure.
Can I restrict access by IP or time?
Yes. You can lock access to specific IP addresses and set time-based restrictions so users can only log in during working hours. Perfect for businesses with strict security policies. Learn more.
Do you offer two-factor authentication?
Yes, 2FA is available on all plans and can be enforced for your entire organisation. We support authenticator apps for a secure second factor.

How do I get help?
You can reach our support team via email or our in-app chat. We aim to respond to all queries within a few hours during business days. For urgent issues, we prioritise same-day resolution.
Do you offer training?
Yes - every new customer gets personalised onboarding and training sessions. We'll walk your team through everything and make sure everyone is comfortable before you go live. Ongoing training is available anytime.
What are your support hours?
Our support team is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm GMT. For critical issues outside these hours, Enterprise plan customers have access to priority out-of-hours support.
Can I request new features?
Absolutely. We actively build features based on customer feedback. Many of our best features started as customer requests. Just let us know what you need and we'll see what we can do.
